Improving storm water qualitywith simple new technology
developed and manufactured in Australia
Unsealed road networks can produce large amounts of sediment that end up in our creeks and rivers. Here it can cause environmental harm to plants and animals, and affect the quality of our water.
Local councils are striving to improve conditions for residents and the environment but, with many kilometers of unsealed roads, councils are struggling to manage.
Reduce sediment run-off by:
Producing a road surface with the best available material
Keeping the road well graded and compacted (essential)
Ensuring good drainage from the road surface
Maintaining good roadside vegetation and sediment traps
PolyCom Stabilising Aid
PolyCom Stabilising Aid enables you to use the existing pavement and bring in the material lost to the roadside, rather than sourcing material from elsewhere.
Once this material is stabilised with PolyCom Stabilising Aid, you have a well graded and compacted road with good drainage. Sediment run-off is reduced because the road resists traffic damage and water and wind erosion.
PolyCom Stabilising Aid can be incorporated into a normal maintenance grade and will produce a longer life expectancy from the existing pavement.
The only equipment needed is a grader, watercart and a roller. No special process: just mix, lay out and compact. The intervals between road maintenance are increased and the costs are reduced.
PolyCom Stabilising Aid is an environmentally safe and effective way to control sediment and improve storm water quality.
